High or low

A Low bet (also known as Manque ) is a bet that the ball will land on a number from one to 18, while a High bet (also known as Passe ) is a bet that will land on a number from 19 to 36. These bets are represented by placing chips on the table section marked “1 to 18” or “19 to 36” and typically have a payout of 1:1.

Red or Black

This is a bet that the ball will land on several of the specified colors. On European and American-style Roulette wheels, the numbers correspond to the colors as follows:

Red: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21–23, 25, 27, 30, 32–34, and 36

African American: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, 35

Please note that zero and double zero are not included in this bet as they are colored green. These bets are represented by placing chips on the corresponding part of the table (these can be labeled “Red” and “Black” or be red and black blocks). This usually has a payout of 1:1.

By o Impar

According to this wager, the ball will land on an odd or even number. Zero and double zero are not included in this bet. These bets are represented by chips placed on the part of the table labeled “Even” and “Odd” and typically have a payout of 1:1.

In some casinos that use European-style wheels, a player is returned half the amount he bet if the ball lands on zero on bets on High or Low, Red or Black, and Even or Odd.

Dozen

This is a bet that the ball will land within the first dozen numbers (one through 12, also known as Première Duzaine ), the second dozen numbers (13 through 24, also known as Moyenne Douzaine ), or the third dozen numbers (25 to 36, also known as Dernière Douzaine ). Zero and double zero are not included in this bet.

These bets are represented by chips placed on the part of the table labeled “1 to 12”, “13 to 24”, or “25 to 36” and typically have a payout of 2:1.

Column

This is a bet that the ball will land within a specific vertical column of 12 numbers on the table, such as one, four, seven, ten, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34. This bet is represented by placing chips below the final number in the column and usually has a payout of 2:1.

Snake

This is a bet that the ball will land on one, five, nine, 12, 14, 16, 19, 23, 27, 30, 32 or 34. This bet is represented by placing chips in the lower left corner of the 34 square, and usually, It has a payout of 2:1.

Roulette Odds and House Edge

Calculating the probability of winning a bet on Roulette is relatively simple. Take the number of numbers the ball can land on for your bet to win and divide it by the number of numbers on the wheel.

For example, the probability of the ball landing on a specific number is approximately 2.70% (1 in 37) on a European-style wheel and 2.63% (1 in 38) on an American-style wheel.
